Middletown (Del.) High quarterback Darius Wade ended his recruitment when he gave a non-binding oral commitment to Boston College.

Steve Addazio built offenses based on a dual-threat quarterback, and he got one of the finest in the region for the 2014 class.

Darius Wade, a 6-foot, 180-pound lefty from Middletown (Del.) High, gave a non-binding oral commitment to play for the Eagles.

"The reason for my commitment was because of the great coaching staff and academics (at Boston College)," Wade said. "Also, there is a great opportunity for playing time and a chance to eventually compete for an ACC championship."

Wade completed 116 of 177 passes for 2,275 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also ran for 546 yards and seven scores.
