Casey Gladney (6'1/185) has taken a long road to get to Cincinnati's commitment list, but he's thrilled to finally be there.
"I was committed to Alabama my junior year," said Gladney. "I ended up signing with Texas Tech, but I didn't qualify, so I came to Copiah-Lincoln."
Gladney helped Co-Lin win the state championship in the rugged Mississippi Junior College league posting 270 yards and three touchdowns as a true freshman. Gladney until the end of the calendar year before he can make the transition to Cincinnati.
"I'll be done in December. Then I can go to Cincinnati. I like the offense they run there, and they throw the ball. The town is beautiful, and I can't wait to see the new stadium they're building."
Having previously signed with Texas Tech, Gladney was familiar with Head Coach Tommy Tuberville and his staff including Associate Head Coach Robert Prunty.
"Coach P has always been a straight up guy with me. He told me to stay on track and worry about my grades first and think about football later."
Gladney will arrive have his redshirt year remaining when he arrives in Cincinnati with three years to use his two seasons of on the field eligibility.
