Myers Close to An Offer?
Things are starting to pick up for Sachse (TX) quarterback Kent Myers who recently made the trip to LSU to check out the Tiger spring game. "The visit went well. I went with my dad and a friend," Myers said. "I talked with the running backs coach and he said he would take a look at my film this week. I will find out next week if they (the coaches) like the video and if I get offered." To go along with the interest from LSU, the 6-foot-.5, 180-pound Myers is keeping pretty close contact with a couple of other programs. It looks as though TCU and Arizona State are the frontrunners as it pertains to the schools showing the most interest. And though both of these schools have been in majority of the conversations, a Big 10 program may be the first one to extend that first offer. "Purdue came by the school today and hopefully that will be my first offer," Myers said. "The Purdue coaches said that they will be coming back by the school and I know that Arizona State said that sometime in mid-May the coaches would be coming by to see me." Myers said that most of the coaches want to give him a shot at quarterback, but it is not out of the question for him to explore other positions last season he had 2,800 passing yards and 1,200 rushing yards.
