First Two BCS Offers For Devers
The importance of the spring evaluation period cannot be understated as college coaches are able to go to high schools and see prospects work out in person. One player that is benefiting right now is Massillon two-way lineman Nathaniel Devers, one of Ohio's top 2014 prospects. After landing five MAC offers earlier, Devers picked up his first two BCS offers this week. "I've been offered by Indiana and Connecticut this week," Devers stated. "A lot of schools have come by, and they are seeing that I've grown an inch and have added muscle. It's helping me that they're seeing me in person." "I'm very high on both schools to be honest," he added. "It means so much to me to get these offers, that it's hard to put into words. I'm very excited and I'm hoping for more, because a lot more schools are coming in to see me." Devers, 6-foot-4, 270-pounds, plays guard and defensive tackle for Massillon, and is being recruited at both positions. In addition to Indiana, West Virginia, Michigan State and Illinois are expected to be at Massillon this week.
