Marshall came as close to one-stop shopping as possible when assistant coach J.C. Price rolled through DeMatha Catholic High (Hyattsville, Md.) on Tuesday.
By the time the day ended, four DeMatha players held verbal offers from the Thundering Herd.
“Linebacker Spencer Kleinrichert, defensive end Deonte Holden, linebacker JaWhaun Bentley (and) receiver Chris Jones picked up offers from Marshall,” DeMatha coach Elijah Brooks said via text.
Holden, who is 6-foot-5, 220 pounds, has been a hot recruit lately and flurry of offers pushed his total into double digits. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Jones holds several offers, including ones from Maryland, Wisconsin, Temple and Connecticut.
As for the linebacker to receive offers from Marshall, among the schools to offer Bentley are Iowa, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Maryland and Virginia. Kleinrichert also has offers from Maryland, Massachusetts and Bucknell.
