La Mirada (Calif.) tight end Tyler Luatua looked very good over the weekend at the IMG West Regional…
Calif. ATH Emerging from small School
Josh Fuglsang (6'2/225) lined up for the second B2G team at the IMG 7v7 in Fullerton, Calif. over the weekend, but there is nothing second team about his talent. He lined up at tight end and showed quickness off the line and pillow soft hands. He was B2G's go to guy throughout the weekend tournament. With his size, he may translate best to a fullback or h-back type of position, but he's used to playing all over the field.
"I lined up at quarterback, kicking, starting wide receiver, starting linebacker, really all over the field," Fuglsang answered when asked what positions he played.
When asked if he had given any thought to playing fullback in college, Fuglsang knew what it would take.
"I'd have to live in the weight room, but that would be a nice opportunity."
Fuglsang has wide hips and shoulders and at 225 pounds already, he'd have very little trouble playing in the 250+ range in college. It's not hard to figure out where he's like to go to college should he be given the opportunity.
"I've gone to UCLA last year and the year before that, and I'll be going back there this year. They're really the school I'd like to hear from the most."
Fuglsang's recruitment may have gotten off to a slow start at a small school, but he has the talent to help put his school on the map and make St. Genevieve a must stop for college recruiters looking for a big skill athlete.
