San Bernardino (Calif.) Arroyo Valley safety Maurice McKnight took an unofficial visit to San Diego State on Saturday.
The Aztecs had invited him down for their Warrior Day, just a week after they offered him.
And on Saturday, McKnight chose to end his recruitment committed to San Diego State.
"I'm a proud Aztec," said McKnight.
McKnight said a number of factors played into his decision.
"They are strong on education and the environment is great," said McKnight. "Everybody from football players to regular students are really friendly."
McKnight also likes how the defense is set up at San Diego State.
"The defense that they runs just fits me as a player," said McKnight.
McKnight has had a good spring playing on the 7on7 circuit with Ground Zero Football.
The 6-1, 170-pounder will be at the Oakland NFTC next weekend.
Here are highlights of McKnight in action.
