Harmon Talks Blue Devil Commitment

Toledo Central Catholic (Ohio) class of 2014 offensive lineman Zach Harmon discusses his commitment to Duke.

On a weekend visit to Duke, junior offensive lineman Zach Harmon was offered by the Blue Devils and accepted shortly after.

"Actually I committed to Duke Sunday night," he told Scout on Monday. "That campus is beautiful. I cant wait to see the renovations to the stadium."

In addition to the surroundings and facilities, the staff was also a primary factor for the 6'4, 265-pound prospect.

"I really enjoyed the coaches. Coach Cutcliffe and coach Latina seem to be two old school coaches who are passionate and very experienced."

On his trip down south, Harmon also visited Wake Forest and while the Demon Deacons are interested, that is now a moot point.

"Wake went well, it was a good experience. It feels like they are close to offering, but of course that does not matter now because I am committed to Duke."

Harmon had additional offers from Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Ohio, Old Dominion, Toledo and Western Kentucky.

He also carries a 3.2 GPA in the classroom.
