McCarthy adds Central Michigan

Lineman Jimmy McCarthy of Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern picked up his first offer recently from Central Michigan. He talks about the Chippewas, future visits, and his ability on the field.

Defensive tackle Jimmy McCarthy of Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern received his first offer last week when Central Michigan offered.

"It was a bit of a surprise," McCarthy said. "I hadn't ready heard much from them before they offered. My head coach told they were offering."

"They like my build and the way I play," McCarthy. "They also like my versatility and how I can play offense or defense, but right now they want to play defense. I think they also like my work ethic."

Other schools expressing interest include Ball State, Bowling Green, Indiana, Purdue, and Toledo.

"I know I'm for sure camping at Indiana and Purdue," McCarthy said. "I might camp at some other places, just not sure where yet."

McCarthy is headed to Central Michigan this weekend for his first visit, so stay tuned for FOX Sports NEXT for the latest.
