Many of the top prospects in Virginia will be on hand for Sunday’s Blue Chip Challenge, which also represents an opportunity to earn an invitation to the Dec. 29 Chesapeake Bowl.
Five-star defensive Da'Shawn Hand of Woodbridge (Va.) High, five-star safety Quin Blanding, a Virginia commit, of Bayside High (Virginia Beach, Va.) and five-star defensive tackle Andrew Brown of Oscar Smith High (Chesapeake, Va.) are set to attend.
Four-star defensive end Jayln Holmes and four-star receiver Jamil Kamara of Bishop Sullivan Catholic (Virginia Beach, Va.) and four-star defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi of Ocean Lakes High (Virginia Beach, Va.) are also on the roster and slated to attend.
Linebacker Aaron Glover of Princess Anne High (Virginia Beach, Va.) and quarterbacks Terrence Shambry of Deep Creek High (Chesapeake, Va.), Walter Harold of Ocean Lakes High (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Tommy McKee of Cox High (Virginia Beach, Va.) will be in attendance.
Also, several of the area’s top 2015 prospects are slated to attend, including receiver Jaason Lewis and linebacker Jahvoni Simmons of Ocean Lakes High and linebacker Ricky DeBerry of St. Christopher’s School (Richmond, Va.).
Class of 2015 running back Armond Askew of Deep Creek High, defensive end Trevon Hill of Salem High (Virginia Beach, Va.) and receiver Quincy Watts of Ocean Lakes High are also players set to attend.
The event is being staged by the Mid Atlantic Football Foundation, which operates the Chesapeake Bowl, and 757 Sports Academy.
Registration begins at 1 p.m. and the event will run from 2-7 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex, located at 2181 Landstown Road, Virginia Beach, Va.
