Bell Shows Off Speed
The Insight Showcase was held last weekend in Cincinnati, and several top prospects were in attendance, including Elijah Bell, from Lexington Henry Clay. Bell, 5-foot-9, 165-pounds, was one of the fastest players players and caught the ball well. He projects as a slot receiver or tailback at the next level. "I have two offers, from Eastern Michigan and Georgetown," Bell stated. "I'm also hearing from Kentucky and Western Kentucky. Kentucky says they're very interested, and they want me to show up at their camp. I would love to have that offer." "Kentucky is a great school and I really like staff," he added. "Most of my family are big fans of Kentucky. I'm also hearing from LSU, Northerm Illinois, Louisville and Indiana. I want to go to camps at Florida, Miami and Florida State, because I have family down there. I also want to go back to Michigan, because I was there last year and it was a great camp." The speed is evident, but Bell also possesses great cutting ability and can make people miss in the open field. "I think I'm very shifty on the field and tough to tackle," Bell said. "I've been timed at 4.47 in the forty, and I'm working hard in the weight room to get stronger. I've been starting for two years now, and I led the state in rushing for 6A football."
