"I've been getting messages from Oregon State, San Jose State and I'm doing Arizona's camp next week," Reuben Leasau said of the latest in his recruitment.
The La Mesa (Calif.) Helix linebacker has an offer from San Jose State on the table but will be showcasing his skills all summer long in hopes of proving a few things to some bigger programs.
"Hopefully I show them I have the talent to play D-I, I'm very athletic and I'm as good as all the guys out there that are getting offers," he said. "My athleticism and my speed show I can play and do a lot of things."
Just last month Leasau tripped to the desert to visit Arizona and Arizona State and he says although he doesn't hold an offer from either, they are on top of his list in terms of interest.
"I just like the culture there," he said. "The coaches, the campus, it just felt great at each school. Hopefully I can show them at a camp or two I'm worthy of an offer."
