Brandon Harris, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound three-star quarterback from Bossier City (La.) Parkway High is one of the most heavily recruited players in the country.
Recently he named his top seven schools list: Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, LSU, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Texas A&M.
You can now consider him down to a Super Six -- as he has now officially eliminated Texas A&M from contention after the Aggies secured a commitment from Scout.com No. 1 rated quarterback Kyle Allen on Monday.
"I would like to wish Texas A&M the best of luck in the future, as they received a fantastic quarterback in Kyle Allen," Harris began.
"I will not be pursuing Texas A&M anymore as this recruiting process goes along. Best of luck this upcoming season and in the future, and the future will write itself."
Harris has already indicated that he will announce his final decision on July, 18.
As a junior, and in his first year as the starting quarterback for Parkway, Harris threw for over 2,700 yards and adding another 700 yards rushing as well with 38 total touchdowns.
Scout Eval - Harris has one of the strongest arms in the 2014 class. He can make any throw college coaches look for a quarterback to make. He can throw with velocity or touch. He has a great feel in the pocket, he can extend a play with his legs, and he can stick the ball into tight windows. He is a dual-threat QB, but he is a pass first guy who will sit into the pocket. He can still improve his footwork and release.
Harris is currently rated as the No. 24 quarterback in the country, a Scout.com three-star prospect.
