Florida now among Bryant's favorites

Gavin Bryant visited Gainesville Saturday for the first day of Florida summer camp and left very impressed with the program and coaches. The 2014 linebacker of Jackson (Jackson, AL) now lists the Gators among his favorites. Get the latest here.

When Gavin Bryant arrived at Florida camp, Defensive Coordinator D.J. Durkin stepped off the field during camp to greet him and his group. The 6-foot-2, 235-pound linebacker was able to get a lot of special attention from the Florida coaching staff both during and after camp.

"It was nice up here, I actually got to do all of my drills one-on-one with the coaches and get all of the good looks," Bryant said.

"They were telling me ‘great job,' stuff like that. They said I'm fast and physical."

Bryant lists Florida as one of the schools that seems to be recruiting him pretty hard at this time, and it's one of the programs on his current list of favorites.

"I think it's nice up here, I could see myself fitting in well," Bryant said.

"The facilities are nice. I want to play in the SEC, and Florida is in the SEC."

The Alabama athlete also lists Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Miami among other favorites and hope to visit the Hurricanes in the next couple of weeks. He claims offers from all of those programs.

"I wanted to stay in state, but now that I think about it, it doesn't matter where I go," he said.

"I'm going to try to decide before my season starts."

Bryant said he may make a return trip to Gainesville before making a decision, it just depends on how much the Gators seem to want him.
