Prospects To Watch: O'Fallon

There are always several prospects that you notice at a camp and immediately want to know more about -- Saturday's Illinois Satellite camp was no exception. Check out some of those prospects inside.

Camp season is one of my personal favorite seasons. Why? There are always prospects that come into camp as kids that ''pass the eyeball test' and come out of camp solidly on the recruiting radar. Maybe even with offers.

There were several of those prospects at the University of Illinois satellite camp Saturday at O'Fallon High that fit that bill.

2014 Belleville (Ill.) defensive back Brian Hill worked with the corners and immediately drew attention to himself by his play. Measuring in at 6-foot-1, 191 pounds he was one of the most smooth athletes at the camp, and had footwork that drew your attention to it.

Hill recorded a 4.6 in the 40-yard dash and currently has an offer from Indiana State with interest from Western Kentucky.

Another rising senior defensive back was Ritenour (Mo.) Devin Alexander who also fit the cornerback mold and was one of the top performers at the position. He recorded a consistent 4.75 in the 40-yard dash on two attempts and showed that he could move well throughout the position drills.

Alexander currently reports one offer from Toledo.

Standing tall, above nearly everyone else at the camp was 6-foot-5.75, 217 pound quarterback Mason Bendigo of Eureka High (Mo.) threw a nice ball, and got lots of individual work in throughout the camp.

Winnetonka (Mo.) 2014 running back Aaron Mends also stood out as a player you will likely be hearing more of in the coming months. Mends weighed in at 6-foot-.5 inches and 206 pounds at the Illinois Satellite camp. Mends looked good during drills and perhaps even better in the 1-on-1s.

Note: Mends Camped at Iowa Sunday, and earned an offer from the Hawkeyes.
