Walker adds three in two days
Tight end/defensive end David Walker picked up each of his first three offers all within 24 hours of one another. "Offers from Central Michigan and Western Michigan came Wednesday morning," Walker said. "I was just offered by Ball State [on Thursday]." Walker hasn't had much time to digest the new offers, but he already as a good grip on each program. "Western Michigan likes me at the H-spot, and they definitely like my speed, my hands, and how versatile I am at lot of positions," Walker said. "They said I'm a perfect fit for their new West Coast, pro-style offense." "I really like the coaching staff at Western Michigan and where the program is headed," Walker added. "They have a bunch of money they are putting into the entire program and it looks promising." Central Michigan is recruiting Walker on the defensive side of the ball. "Central Michigan likes me at defensive end," Walker said. "They like my first step, and they think I would be a really good pass-rusher in their defense." The most recent offer came from Ball State after a strong performance during the Thursday morning session of camp. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound rising senior was worked out individually by Ball State tight ends' coach and recruiting coordinator Joey Lynch. "Coach Lynch likes me at tight end," Walker said. "Ball State runs a unique offense in how they use their tight ends. They put them down in a three-point, but they also use them like an H-back. It's something new to me, but I really like it." Walker said he feels like Ball State has potential to accomplish big things going forward, as evidenced by their recent success. "I really like their program," Walker said. "They went 9-4 last year, and it looks like they're doing pretty well, knocking off USF and Iowa. They've got a good football tradition here." Walker will camp at Purdue on Friday and Indiana on Saturday. He's also hearing from Brown, Harvard, Princeton, and Yale. Stay tuned to FOX Sports NEXT for the latest in Walker's recruitment.
