Georgia Military College tailback Akeem Judd committed to Ole Miss recently and his teammate Knight followed suit on Monday.
"I committed to Ole Miss tonight," Knight added. "I called the Ole Miss coaches tonight to let them know. "Everybody was hollering when I told them. I could not be anymore excited. I wish I could come join the team today."
The Grady, Ga., product had a stellar high school career when he intercepted eight passes as a junior before having to sit out his senior season.
"I feel like I have a great long speed. I have good ball skills and when I pick off a ball I have the ability to take it back to the house. Ole Miss also feels like I can help them in the return game."
The 6' ", 175-pound cornerback still sees room for improvement.
"I just need to get a little bigger and stronger before I report to college.
Knight took in an unofficial visit to Ole Miss a couple weeks back.
"I just felt at home there. They recruited me the hardest from the start and made me feel really wanted. It is just like family. I did not want to be anywhere else. I had a lot of great offers from schools like Arizona, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Texas Tech but none of them gave me that homey feeling like Ole Miss. I was ready to commit when I went on my visit, but I wanted to think things through before I made my announcement. After sleeping on it for a few days my mind did not change. Ole Miss is where I want to be so I went ahead and told them."
Knight had four interceptions as a freshman is looking for an even bigger sophomore season.
"I just want to stay healthy and become a first team All-American. I want to lead the country in interceptions and help us win the national championship."
