Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.) senior defensive tackle Chris Okoye has big time size and is catching the attention of college coaches.

Chris Okoye caught the eyes of many coaches at the recent Sound Mind, Sound Body Camp with his size (6'6, 320) and ability. While he currently has no offers, he's a kid many schools are keeping an eye on.

"I heard from Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, Toledo, Eastern Illinois, Illinois, Western Michigan, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, and Cincinnati," he said.

The message for him from these schools has mostly been the same.

"They want to check me out, have me come down, work out a little more for them and I might see offers coming soon."

Okoye says he will make it to two in-state camps in hopes of earning that elusive first offer.

"I'm going to State Sunday and Michigan Wednesday."

After that, he plans to leave the camping for others, as he will turn his attention to an equally elusive goal.

"That's it for camps and then I'm focusing on a state championship."

In addition to the aforementioned schools, Okoye says he is receiving mail from Purdue, Miami (FL), and Penn State.
