Four-star receiver Artavis Scott will reveal his decision at The Opening. Scott has been recruited hard by several schools and has visited many of them this year. According to Brian Stumpf, Student Sports Director of Football Operations, Scott will choose between Clemson, Michigan, Florida, Ohio State, Florida State, and UCF.
Scott most recently visited Clemson and said it’s the Tigers that are recruiting him the hardest.
“We have a great relationship, it’s building every time I talk to Coach Elliot and Coach Scott, every time I go there I talk to Coach Swinney and some other players that have been there, like Sammy (Watkins) and Taj (Boyd), I talk to them about how it is,” he said.
The 6-foot-, 175-pound athlete also visited Michigan a couple of times and is teammates with Wolverines 2014 offensive line commitment Mason Cole. Scott’s not too far from Florida and has visited the Gators a couple of times. It may surprise some that Central Florida is on the list, but Scott’s former East Lake quarterback, Pete DiNovo, just signed with the Knights, and he and Scott are very close.
“Some want me at receiver, some want me at defense, some want me at both, and it doesn’t really matter. As long as I play special teams, it doesn’t matter where I play,” Scott said.
FOX Sports NEXT will have a team at The Opening and will have the latest on all of the happenings in Oregon.
