Clemson commitment Deshaun Watson was who we’ve known him to be all along, Mr. Consistency. Watson isn’t going to do anything in this setting that’s going to standout. He’s not the biggest or have the strongest arm, but he nearly always throws an accurate catchable ball. He might not be the quarterback with the biggest upside, but when The Opening 7on7 gets started in a few days, he’d probably be my first pick at quarterback. What he does well is put his team in the best situations and deliver the ball. Skills that don’t always translate in an Elite 11 setting, but he’s still shown he has enough arm to be more than just a system guy.
