Beaverton, Ore.-- The East Region’s usual names were lighting it up at The Opening, but there were others this week that was able to steal the spotlight just as much. A lot of talent from the East Region represented at The Opening this week in Beaverton, Oregon. Not only were the familiar names like Da’Shawn Hand making their mark on the camp but other uncommitted prospects were making a name for themselves as well.

FOXSportsNext’s recruiting analyst and East Region expert, Brian Dohn was there to take it all in. Dohn breaks down Erasmus Hall (Brooklyn, NY) athlete Curtis Samuel’s performance and top five (Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami, Alabama and Rutgers); Gateway High (Monroe, Pa.) Montae Nicholson’s position dilemma; defensive linemen Thomas Holley’s breakout performance at the Opening; and running back Shai McKenzie’s recruitment’s top five (in order): Florida State, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and Arkansas in the video below.
