Fordham Prep (Bronx) running back Malik Crossdale made his verbal commitment to Army.

Fordham Prep (Bronx) running back Malik Crossdale found everything he wanted an hour north of his home, and now is set to blaze a trail for his country.

The 6-foot, 195-pound Crossdale announced Sunday he committed to Army.

"I have officially made official commitment to the United States Military Academy at West Point to play College football," Crossdale said in making the announcement. "It's been a long and stressful journey but I'm so happy with this decision. This is really the place I want to spend my college years. Its going to give me the best opportunity to reach all my future goals."

Crossdale ran for 1,099 yards and nine touchdowns as a junior. He also made on catch, a 10-yard touchdown.
