Texas 7v7: DII Sleeper Watch

Joseph Clark

ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Scout.com's Midlands team of analysts and reporters talk about a few prospect who could shed their sleeper status with a strong performance during the first two days of action at the Texas State 7-on-7 Championships...

CB Joseph Clark (5'9, 175) - Tyler Chapel Hill - 2014

Have to love players from the rich talent pool of East Texas. Clark has just started seeing some action in his recruiting starting last month in June. He will continue to shine and this weekend will be another chance to showcase parts of his game. Recently picked up his first BCS offer from Texas Tech.

WR Ian Sadler (5'11, 185) - Argyle - 2014
All Saints' Adams has BCS skill sets.

Sadler has quietly amassed one of the more impressive state sheets in the North DFW area and does a little bit of everything in Todd Rodgers' offense. Could be the most valuable commodity on a loaded squad pushing for a 7v7 title. Committed to Texas Tech.

S Kendall Adams (6'1, 197) - All Saints - 2014
Even with a handful of smaller offers, Kendall Adams remains one of the most overlooked players in the state. Starring at both receiver and safety for Fort Worth All Saints, Adams comes with great size, good speed and a natural playmaking ability. With Foster Sawyer slinging it, look for Adams in the endzone a lot tomorrow.

WR Terian Goree (6'2, 170) - Carthage - 2014
Goree has a collection of offers including Colorado State, Memphis, and Louisiana Tech, with interest from other programs. Because the 6-foot-2, 170-pounder was unable to attend many college camps this summer, the weekend's 7v7 provides Goree with an opportunity to prove he can play big-time college football.

QB J.T. Granato (6'3, 215) - Kinkaid - 2015
The Class of 2015 is a fairly strong one for quarterbacks, so Granato is maybe a bit overlooked right now. It's kind of hard to call him a sleeper, as he's gotten looks from some really top-notch football schools. But Granato is currently without offers, something that should change.
