Texas 7v7: DI Most Anticipated 'O'

DaMarkus Lodge

ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Check out which prospects Team Midlands is most excited to see on offense when the 'Big Schools' take the field on Friday and Saturday at The Texas State 7-on-7 Championships...

WR DaMarkus Lodge (6'2, 188) - Cedar Hill - 2015
There's no doubt he is a major prospect. But to be completely honest, I did not get to see enough of him at the Dallas NFTC, due to my focus on linebackers and running backs. I want to see much more. He is already getting major offers from schools like Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M, despite the fact he has played in very limited reps under the lights.

RB SoSo Jamabo (6'2, 200) - Plano West - 2015
Have a feeling Jamabo will be anything but "so-so" this weekend. Already with one of the heaviest-hitting offer lists in the 2015 class, with names like Texas and Oklahoma, Michigan and Ohio State in hot pursuit, the Plano West running back will have all eyes on him. And from his 6-foot-2, 200-pound size with 4.55 speed-- at just 16 years old, remind you-- he shouldn't disappoint.

WR Tony Upchurch (6'1, 215) - Pearland Dawson - 2014
Upchurch is a beast on film, showing amazing burst to go along with such a big frame. Is big, but very agile. He runs with power and shows above average speed in the open field. Rated as a wide receiver, but could play a number of positions in college. An elite athlete. Committed to LSU.

WR Reggie Hemphill (6'1, 175) - Manvel - 2016
What? A 2016 kid? Hemphill was a dominant force at Texas camp this summer, good enough for me to make this statement: if he were in the 2015 class, he might be the top in-state wideout. With guys like Cedar Hill's Damarkus Lodge and Cypress Ridge's Kemah Siverand, that's no small feat.

QB David Blough (6'1, 190) - Carrollton Creekview - 2014
Less than a week after earning a spot in the final Elite 11 standings, Carrollton (Tex.) Creekview quarterback Blough will again have a chance to show off both his accuracy and big arm. The Purdue commit, earned rave reviews from the event's coaches-and Greenbay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers-and should look perform just as well, if not better, in competition this weekend.
