Texas 7v7: DI Sleeper Watch
Posted Jul 11, 2013
ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Scout.com's Midlands team of analysts and reporters talk about a few prospect who could shed their sleeper status with a strong performance when the 'Big Schools' take the fields at the Texas State 7-on-7 Championships...

(5'9, 150) - Arlington Bowie - 2015
Remember Tony James, the sophomore receiver that stepped in last minute at quarterback for Arlington Bowie last season and led the Vols past the state's then-No. 1 Dallas Skyline only to rack up nearly 3,000 all-purpose yards and 34 scores in a run to the Class 5A playoffs? He still remains overlooked. Even with a
offer and 4.4 speed, James has not gained the recognition he has deservedly earned. That should change this weekend.

(5'11, 175) - The Woodlands - 2014
Only has one BCS offer so far, but that could change for the 5-foot-11 speedster. A 2014 player with playmaking ability on both sides of the ball, he could be the type of player who earns more as his senior season plays out. In a tough pool that includes West Mesquite, he'll probably get plenty of eyeballs

(6'3, 190) - Whitehouse - 2015
It's probably a stretch to call him a sleeper, but at this point in the game I think he is a bit under the radar on the national scale. A big, rangy player who has great top-end speed and a natural ball skills. He is the definition of a ball-hawking safety. As he is seen more and more look for him to rise towards the top of the rankings lists.

(5'10, 185) -Rosenberg Terry - 2014
Sure he's not the big quarterback some schools are looking for, but McClain has the versatility to not only take snaps, but nearly play every skilled position. But seeing that he will primarily be throwing the ball this weekend, he will continue to show that he is a solid player.

(6'2, 195) - Pflugerville Hendrickson - 2014
There are a number of talented prospects for Pflugerville (Tex.) Hendrickson, and shared touches could be why receiver Latrell Martin only held
offers before committing to the latter this summer. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder has looked solid in regional 7v7 play, proving to be a threat on the field, especially in medium-short-yardage situations.
