Green Plans Two More Summer Camps
Gerri Green profile "I am supposed to be going over to Mississippi State for Big Dawg and then to Arkansas the day after that," said Green. "Besides that I am just going to be working with my team to get ready for the season. "I have been hitting the weights real hard and everybody has been working together to get ready." The Hornets are in transition this season as a new head coach takes the helm of Weston football. "There are a few things different, but it's been a lot of the same things we had before because all of our other coaches are still here," said Green. "We are still running the spread on offense and we're going back to the 3-3 stack on defense. "I played in that defense for two years, so I know what to expect. "As a linebacker you have to really watch your reads and do your job. "Everybody has to really do their own assignments and fill the right hole." Several college coaches have talked with Green about joining their linebacking corps next fall. While not ready to tip his hand about an overall favorite, Green reports that he is closer to making a decision. "I don't really have a top five or anything like that," said Green. "I have a good idea about what I want to do, but I am just not ready to make a decision. "I will probably make a decision late in the summer or during the season. "I want to get a decision made before it gets too late in the season though. "I don't want anybody to say that I didn't preform or that I had all of that recruiting stuff hanging over my head."
