Big Dawg: Gardner Minshew
Gardner Minshew profile "It was a good camp. It was different," said Minshew of Big Dawg. "We went to the weight room and we did all of the agility drills. "Being out here under the lights is different and I really like that. "It is always fun to come out here and compete." As a junior, Minshew is getting a dress rehearsal of sorts as a prospect with a year to continue to grow and develop. The Brandon high school star believes he represented himself pretty well at the big event. "I feel like I did well," said Minshew. "I missed a few throws, but everybody does. "I know what I need to go back and work on. I know I will be ready the next time I come back up here." Minshew was also able to glean some helpful information from Bulldog offensive coordinator Les Koenning who would be his position coach should a Bulldog future come together. "I got a little anxious with some throws and he talked with me about that," said Minshew. "I was anticipating a little too much coming out of breaks. "That was the main thing he talked to me about. He just wants me to be a little more patient back there." The BHS signal caller has a reputation as a smart and accurate passer who rarely throws a bad ball. Minshew reports that he works very hard to be a consistent performer. "All of that really comes from me working with my receivers and playing so much 7-on-7 together," explained Minshew. "It's about having timing with them and it's really just as much them as it is me. "I have been very fortunate to have some great receivers who make it really easy on me."
