"I am from Starkville, but I am at Vardaman High School now," said Smith. "I am going to be playing nose tackle and some defensive tackle this fall.
"Camp went pretty good up here today. I enjoyed it a lot."
Smith reports that he received some positive reinforcement from Mississippi State defensive line coach David Turner.
"Coach Turner told me to keep on working hard like I am working," said Smith. "He said that if I just keep working hard that everything would go great for me during my senior year."
Smith is trying to jump start his recruitment that he feels is a little lost in the shuffle due to his relocation to Vardaman, Mississippi.
"I am just trying to make something happen this season," said Smith. "We are going to have a pretty good team this year.
"We have five talented seniors coming back and I am coming up there too.
"It's going to be a great season and I plan on having a great season for me."
