Moffitt talks about the latest in recruiting
Louisville Doss senior DeVonta Moffitt had a chance to show his skills at Kentucky'S Friday Night Blue Lights camp. See what Moffitt thought about his performance. DeVonta Moffitt has worked feverishly to pick up exposure going into his senior season. One of the best chances to be seen was his trip to one of Kentucky's biggest camps of the summer. "The camp went very well," said Moffitt. "It was a lot of competition." Moffitt felt like he turned some heads and made an impression on the Wildcat coaches. "I feel like I made (the coaches and players) respect my game. Since I was coming in as the underdog, I had to make a statement," said Moffitt. Moffitt had some one-on-one time with Kentucky running back coach Chad Scott. "(Scott) recruits Louisville. He said they've already watched my film so they're going to see what I do the first few games and then make a move," he said. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound athlete plays multiple roles for Doss High and is now ready to focus on his high school season and earning his first scholarship offer. "It's my senior year, so I'm going to focus on my team and grind until I can't grind anymore," said Moffitt. "I have something to prove to the doubters and naysayers. I'm willing to put the team on my back if I have to," he finished. FOX Sports Next will keep you updated on DeVonta Moffitt.
