Cronkrite Won't Forget Georgia Tech
2015 Miami (FL) Westminster Christian Jordan Cronkrite just capped of a college tour that saw him check out Clemson, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Alabama, and Georgia Tech. While on the visit, Cronkrite racked up new scholarship offers from Clemson and Vanderbilt. He has also added offers from South Florida and Mississippi State. More could be on the way. "Tennessee, Miami, and Alabama are other offers I'm hoping I can get," Cronkrite pointed out. "They said they like me and that I'm on their board. Once I have more film, they could offer me." Georgia Tech was the first school to offer Cronkrite and he holds them in high regard for that reason. "I stopped at Georgia Tech for a visit and they showed me a lot of love like always," he told Scout. "They came and visited me a few times during the spring evaluation period and that is when they offered." "I'll never forget Georgia Tech," he admitted. "They were my first offer and I got family up there." Cronkrite discussed the impact of Georgia Tech being his first offer and what characteristics about a school would play into his college choice. "It will help them (Georgia Tech) out but I also have to check what they are like at running back and what the depth chart looks like," he explained. "That will be a key factor for me. I want to play early at the college I pick. I have a good relationship with Coach (Al) Preston and Coach (Lamar) Owens and I have more to learn about them." The rising junior has no timetable for a choice and will let his recruitment take shape before making a decision on what school to attend. "I'll find the school with the best fit," he said. "When I think I have it, I'll make my decision then. I don't have a date or a timeline where I'd like to have my college choice made by."
