Areas for Improvement
Tucker is seen all over the field when you watch game tape. He can drop into coverage, come up to support the run, blitz the quarterback, and chase the ball across the field. He is a best inside the box and when allowed to chase the football. He is solid in space, but he one-on-one coverage is not a strength of his. He has the ability to play zone and to move in space, but he is likely a free safety or a lean outside linebacker on the next level. He is a physical player who likes to hit. He takes good angles to the football and he plays with good game speed. He has great recognition and he reads the quarterback well when moving in space. His ball skills are above average and he tracks the ball well. He is on the lean side and he needs to add weight and muscle to his frame for the next level. Tucker is a smart player, he is leader on the field, and he really does a nice job of playing within his himself. He is a safety that is much better when moving forward than he is when moving backwards. He is an alley kid that is great against the run. Look for him to see time on special teams first and he will likely see some time inside the box on the next level as well. One thing you cannot teach he has – that is winning. He comes from one of the top programs in the country and he will take a winning attitude to Stanford.
