Blair on Cards and Visits
Jacksonville (FL) Sandalwood High School wide receiver Desean Blair heads into his senior season committed to Louisville. The 6-foot-4 and 185-pound athlete is one among several Jacksonville area players committed to the Cardinals in the 2014 signing class. While Blair says he is solidly committed to the Cards he does plan on taking all five of his official visits this fall and winter. "It's great, I am glad to be a part of a great program with awesome coaches. It's amazing. I never thought I'd be here right now," said an excited Blair when talking about his commitment to Louisville. The tall wide receiver said that at decision time it came down to three schools. "If it wasn't Louisville it probably would have been Vanderbilt or Maryland," said Blair of the other offers he seriously considered. Blair has also become friends with fellow Louisville 2014 commitments Isaiah Ford and Kavaris Harkless from Jacksonville Trinity Christian School. "Before either of us committed we didn't talk at all. I talk to him sometimes on twitter or I text him," said Blair of his relationship with wide receiver Isaiah Ford. "I talk to Kavaris Harkless a lot too." Blair who also has offers from Georgia Tech, Iowa State, Maryland, Temple, Florida International and Vanderbilt plans to use all five of his official visits this fall and winter but is undecided on where he will go on three of the visits. "Yes sir, but I don't have them all planned out except Maryland and Louisville," said Blair when asked if he planned on using his visits. Possibilities for the other three visits at this time appear to be FIU, Temple and Vanderbilt according to the receiver.
