No. 290 Connor Mayes C Van Alstyne (Texas) HS – Minnesota
Throwback style of OL. This guy is a powerful interior offensive lineman. He is just huge. Massive may be a better word, but he carries his weight well and does not look overweight or out of shape at all. He is a great drive blocker. Using his size and power to maul smaller defensive linemen. Once he locks on, you can pretty much take it to the bank that it’s over. He loves to finish and inflict punishment. He will need to work on his lateral abilities to become more sound in pass protection.
No. 127 Demetrius Knox - OG - Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints' Episcopal School - Ohio State
Knox had to deal with some injuries as a junior, mostly a lower back injury which cost him playing time. Plays tackle in high school, but will likely be a guard in college. He has a nice frame for adding more weight and is very athletic for an OL. He moves really well, especially laterally. Long arms and quick feet. Will like to see how he develops and if he can stay healthy in 2013. Has upside but needs to develop more consistency snap to snap.
