The defense struggled at times in 2012, but will be more experienced in 2013.
3. Katy (TX)
Lost some key pieces, but this is a program that is currently in reload mode.
4. Guyer [John H.] (Denton, TX)
This team is complete on offense with weapons all over. Young but athletic on 'D'.
5. Steele [Byron P.] (Cibolo, TX)
This team should be the class of San Antonio, likely to hit the playoffs undefeated.
6. Trinity (Euless, TX)
When Trinity is tough up front they are hard to beat. They should be tough up front.
7. Lamar (Houston, TX)
The Cinderella team from last year. May be the region's most college talent laden team.
8. Carroll (Southlake, TX)
Dragons have questions to answer. Questions in Southlake are usually answered with W's.
9. Union (Tulsa, OK)
Union will battle Jenks for the class of the state. Tough tests early, but will close strong.
10. West (Plano, Texas)
Number of teams in the hunt for the 10th spot, but West came ever so close last year and returns the meat and potatoes.
