Walker re-opens recruitment
Tight end/defensive end David Walker of Harbor Springs (Mich.) High decommitted from Western Michigan in July after picking up an offer from the Broncos earlier this summer. "I'm really open right now," Walker said. "I don't have any favorites, but I'm hearing from the Ivy League schools, and I'm definitely interested in those." Walker is in close contact with Harvard, who is recruiting Walker as an H-back/tight end hybrid. "I think I would fit their offense really well because they run the spread, and they get a lot of their players involved," Walker said. "I'm probably hearing the most from Harvard out of all schools right now." Walker said he's no longer considering Western Michigan, but the other two schools that have extended him scholarship offers, Central Michigan and Ball State, are still on his list. "Ball State likes me as a tight end, and I think I'm made for that offense," Walker said. "Central Michigan likes me for defensive end." Walker plans to take a few more visits this fall before making a final decision. Walker can play both tight end and defensive end, and he says he does not have a preference for where he plays in college.
