Focus 2016: Stephen Sullivan
Stephen Sullivan paced the Donaldsonville Tigers with 69 catches in 10 games last year. "At first I was scared but I got used to it," Sullivan admitted. "After a while, I came to believe I was the best player on the field. "I've gotten letters from Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Nebraska. I also like Alabama and LSU. I like Bama's colors and how they remind me of a high school mentality with how they come together as a tight-knit team and win championships. I like LSU because they're close to home and I had a family member who went there." While Sullivan has the frame to develop into a tight end, he plans to remain a wide-out. "I want to be an outside receiver," he said. He averaged 10 points and four blocks with between five-to-seven rebounds on the hardwood earlier this year. "My strength is catching the ball over people," he said. "I'm working on picking my speed up. I run good routes." Sullivan hauled in a season-high dozen receptions twice last year vs. both McDonogh #35 and St. Charles Catholic. He grabbed 11 catches vs. E.D. White Catholic.
