Tallahassee (FL) Lincoln High School quarterback/athlete Darius Harvey had a big season opening weekend. This past Saturday Harvey threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns completing 9 of 17 passes including two touchdowns in Lincoln’s 34-21 win against South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia in a nationally televised game. Harvey also ran for 75 yards and a score. Shortly after the game the quarterback’s huge Saturday continued when he picked up his third scholarship offer.
“Howard offered me as a wide receiver after the game,” said Harvey.
The 5-foot-11 and 180-pound signal caller has already been offered by Samford as a cornerback and by FAU as an athlete.
Last season the dynamic quarterback threw for 1,119 yards and ran for 412 yards while starting for cross-town rival Florida High. During spring practice this past May the talented athlete lined up at quarterback, wide receiver and cornerback.
Other schools showing interest in Harvey at this time are; Florida International, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi, South Florida and UCF.
