Four-star Nicholson Updates His List
Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway four-star safety Montae Nicholson still has a lengthy list of suitors, and he is still speaking regularly with more than a half-dozen schools. He also is contemplating when he will make official visits, and where they will be, but with Friday's season opener at Latrobe (Pa.) Greater Latrobe, Nicholson's focus is there. "I've got 11 (schools) actually," Nicholson said of his list. "They're Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Florida State, West Virginia, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Temple, Oregon, Stanford, Miami and Michigan State. I'm not completely sure yet (about official visits), but I'll be making those decisions very soon." Of those schools, Nicholson said he speaks the most with eight of them the most, but it rarely involves coaches pitching their respective school and discussing how he would benefit from going there. "I talk with Georgia Tech, Florida State, Penn State, Pitt, Temple, Oregon, Miami, and Michigan State the most via facebook and twitter (direct messaging)," Nicholson said. "They've pretty much stop trying to pitch their schools because we've been in contact so long, but when these schools first started recruiting me, they were pretty much all the same. They told me that I'd get a great education and play football at a top notch school." The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Nicholson is said location "doesn't have much of an effect on where I end up," but there are other key criteria he is looking for in a school. "(It will be) preferably an engineering program, and a strong player/coach relationship," he said. "Those are the main things I'm looking for."
