The time has come.
It has been an Alabama-LSU battle for some time. Cameron Robinson eliminated everyone else early in 2013, so he will announce for the Crimson Tide or the Tigers on Wednesday afternoon.
Robinson originally planned to announce his decision at the 2014 Under Armour All-America game early in January, but he decided late in August that he was ready to end the recruiting process about four months earlier.
He announced his change of plans via Twitter just days after close friend Cameron Sims committed to Alabama.
The No. 2 prospect in the country visited Alabama and LSU over the summer and each school has had the momentum in recruiting. It was Alabama strong early in the spring, then after LSU’s camp in the summer, the Tigers had some momentum, and now it looks like it may have swung back to the Tide recently when he visited Tuscaloosa in August.
LSU’s Greg Studrawa (Offensive line coach) is their lead recruiter and Mario Cristobal (Offensive line coach) and Billy Napier (Wide receiver coach) have been recruiting the 6-foot-5, 328 pound tackle for ‘Bama since Mike Groh left for the NFL in the offseason.
Robinson will let all know Wednesday afternoon and Scout will be there to cover this event. Stay tuned for in-depth coverage of Robinson’s decision.
