Allen Trieu - National Recruiting Analyst, Midwest
Friday: East Kentwood (Mich.) at East Grand Rapids (Mich.) at 7 p.m.
East Kentwood features a strong offensive line lead by 6-foot-7 Western Michigan commit Elliot Jordan. He is joined by junior John Keenoy, who is being recruited by Big Ten programs and sophomore Trenton Fincher (6-6/280). East Grand Rapids junior linebacker Carter Masek has also drawn interest from BCS programs and has one offer under his belt. Quarterback Mikey Roth is also hearing from schools across the country and his academic prowess has lead Ivy League schools to his mailbox. Finally, we are very excited to see sophomore wide receiver-cornerback Gourney Sloan, a long, athletic young prospect with BCS potential.

Thursday: Canton GlenOak at Massillon at 7 p.m.
Canton GlenOak looks to win their third straight in one of Ohio's best early season rivalry games. The Golden Eagles feature three juniors getting Division-I looks in tailback Jason Simon, wide receiver J'Mon Wells and cornerback Kyle Hall. Massillon will feature the starting debut of freshman quarterback Danny Clark, who is already on the recruiting radar of Division-I programs. The offensive line is anchored by Cincinnati commit Nathaniel Devers. Clark will be surrounded by plenty of playmakers on offense, including senior wideout Marcus Whitfield (multiple MAC offers), junior tailback J.D. Crabtree (Toledo offer) and junior wide receiver/cornerback Reggie Rogers (Kentucky offer).

Friday: Girard at Hubbard at 7:30 p.m.
Hubbard has two of the top 2015 prospects in Ohio in tailback L.J. Scott and offensive tackle Matt Jones. Scott started off strong last week by rushing for 330-yards and scoring four touchdowns, while also intercepting a pass on defense. Scott holds offers from the likes of Kentucky, Michigan State, Tennessee and West Virginia. His twin brother, Isaiah, is also a fine outside linebacker prospect. Jones holds offers from Toledo, West Virginia and Kentucky, and could be Ohio's top offensive lineman in the junior class.

Friday: Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier vs. Cincinnati (Ohio) Colerain at 7:30 p.m. Colerain High School
The marquee game in Southwest Ohio for Week Two has two powerhouse programs facing off in what should be an exciting match-up. St. Xavier and Colerain are both coming off wins over out of state teams as St. Xavier having defeated Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis 34-7 while Colerain defeated Park Vista (Fla.) High School 45-27. St. Xavier will look for junior linebacker Justin Hilliard (6-1.5/210), an early Scout.com four-star prospect in the Class of 2015 to keep the Colerain offense in check. Hilliard, who already holds offers from the likes of Ohio State, Notre Dame and Michigan to name a few, is joined on defense by Indiana defensive end pledge Nick Carovillano (6-4/230) and defensive tackle Simeon Lane (6-0/300) who is receiving interest from several programs. On offense, the Bombers will count on senior running back C.J. Hilliard (5-10/185). The older Hilliard is committed to Iowa will be expected to carry the load. Senior quarterback Nick Tensing is coming off a solid three touchdown performance and at 6-foot-4, 190-pounds, is sure to turn a few heads this fall.  Colerain has their own four-star linebacker in senior Tegray Scales. The 6-foot2, 210-pound Scales holds offers from Indiana, Oklahoma and Wisconsin among others. Offensively the Cardinals will run their triple-option attack with mighty-mite senior running back DeTuan Smith-Moore who stands 5-foot-5, 185-pounds. Smith rushed for 223-yards last week with two touchdowns giving the Cardinals a one-two punch with senior quarterback Kelvin Cook (169-yards, two touchdowns). While the Cardinals don’t throw the ball often, they do have super talented receiver Travon Hudson who at 6-foot-4, 200-pounds, is a major weapon capable of stretching the field.

Saturday: Indianapolis (Ind.) John Marshall vs. Cincinnati (Ohio) Hughes at 1:30 p.m. Stargel Stadium
John Marshall enters the game with a 2-0 record and will look to senior Drew Milbrooks to lead the way. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound running back has posted 262-yards rushing in the first two weeks and scored two touchdowns. Hughes will counter with 2015 running back Levon McCants who posted some impressive rushing stats of his own last season. This will be our first chance to catch McCants in action as we did not see him during the summer camp circuit.

Friday: Gahanna (Ohio) Columbus Academy vs. Columbus (Ohio) Bishop Ready at 7:30 p.m.
Columbus Academy and Bishop Ready both started their season with a strong win and are looking to continue that. Bishop Ready senior offensive tackle Brady Taylor made his commitment to Virginia Tech right before the season started. The future Hokie is hoping to continue to lead his school. Helping him out on the offensive end will be senior running back Akili Taylor, who holds a Kent State offer and has been picking up interest from Akron, Cincinnati, Northwestern and Toledo. Someone to keep an eye out for will be their senior quarterback Matt Yoho. Columbus Academy’s spread offense will be led by senior quarterback Charlie Watters. Senior halfback Bryce Bailey rushed for over 10 touchdowns last season.

Friday: Columbus Walnut Ridge (OH) at Groveport-Madison (OH) at 7:30 p.m.
Walnut Ridge has three prospects worth keeping an eye on in Friday's showdown with Groveport-Madison. Three-star prospect Robert Bowers is a high school senior already committed to Michigan State. The Spartans edged out Cincinnati, Louisville, and West Virginia for Bowers's services. Two high school juniors enter the game that have potential to produce at the next level as well. Linebacker Anthony McKee already holds BCS offers from Illinois, Kentucky, Arkansas, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Defensive tackle Joshua Jordan shined at camp and could be on his way towards his first scholarship offer.

Friday: Speedway (Ind.) at Beech Grove (Ind.) at 7 p.m.
Speedway High isn't known for producing a plethora of high caliber talent, but this year, it is home of 2014 four-star wide receiver Justin Brent, who is committed to Notre Dame. In Brent's first game of the season in a win against Lapel, he had 19 rushes for 180 yards and four touchdowns and two receptions for 19 yards. Last week, Brent had 85 yards on 12 carries in a loss to Scecina. Brent, standing at 6-foot-1, 205 pounds, will play wide receiver for the Irish, though he primarily sees time at running back for Speedway. Brent is the 11th ranked wide receiver in the class of 2014.

Southfield features two four-star prospects on the defensive line in uncommitted top 50 tackle Malik McDowell and Michigan commit Lawrence Marshall. They also have a speedy senior receiver Jordan Billingslea and an athletic offensive tackle Chukwuma Okorafor who are both committed to Western Michigan. Junior cornerback-wide receiver Ray Buford had a big summer, adding several offers and had a big week one performance against Cass Tech. We liked what we saw of big, physical junior safety Dior Johnson in week one. Farmington is lead by Ohio commit Curtis Brunson and Indiaan State commit Josh Craven in the secondary. They also have two sophomores making a lot of noise in wide receiver Desmond Fitzpatrick, who has several offers, and hard-hitting linebacker David Reese.
