East Kentwood (Mich.) junior offensive lineman John Keenoy received his first offer over the weekend…
Keenoy Busy Taking Visits
One junior gaining steam in his recruitment is East Kentwood High School's 6-foot-3, 285-pound offensive lineman John Keenoy. A high school tackle, he could project to guard or center at the next level and has a number of schools interested in him. "I'd say the five main schools sending me letters daily are Michigan State, Illinois, Northwestern,, Indiana, and Central Michigan," he said. "That's who I'm mainly hearing from." Last Saturday, he visited Indiana and saw them take on Navy. "I really liked Indiana. I liked the offensive line coach (Greg Frey) a lot. I also liked the up tempo offense we got to see most of the game." He had been to Bloomington and met the coaches before. This time around, he said he did not get to speak with them at length, but there is a good relationship already established there. "I went to camp this summer and it was a full padded camp and the MHSAA won't let us do a full padded camp, so they said to get them some game film. They want me back for next week's game, but I think I'm going to Western Michigan's game." The trip to Indiana last week was not Keenoy's first of the season as he saw a Friday night opener in-state. "I went to Michigan State for their opener. I really enjoyed that and enjoyed talking to Coach Staten." Keenoy and the Falcons are currently 1-1. They take on Forest Hills Central this Friday.
