Mendon High's Logan Slaughter plays both defensive and offensive tackle for his team and at 6-foot-4, 265-pounds, has the size college coaches are looking for. While it is still somewhat early, he is already in contact with several programs.
"Buffalo, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Pittsburgh, I got some mail from, Princeton a while back, I got a letter from them too, Nebraska and I think that's it if I remember right."
One additional school Slaughter is hearing from is Indiana, who had him down for a visit on Saturday.
"I liked the campus. My favorite part was the large weight room. I'd probably get a lot of use out of that, so I'm looking forward to that."
He was also able to meet the staff in Bloomington.
"We did not get too much of chance to talk. We were on the sideline for warm-ups and they had to get going with the players. We did talk, but just about what I thought of campus."
Over the summer, Slaughter camped at Michigan State and had an opportunity to receive feedback from the Spartans.
"The defensive line coach said he likes way I move and the way that I played. He said I moved pretty well for my size and wanted to get film of me, so we got him a highlight tape and hope he watches that."
Slaughter says he will look to visit Akron next.
