McNamara Off to Fast Start

Fairview (Ohio) junior quarterback Colin McNamara talks about how his season has gone thus far and his recruitment.

So far, so good for Fairview High and their junior leader Colin McNamara. After a good offseason which produced his first offer from Buffalo, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound quarterback has lived up to the hype.

"The season's been great so far," he said. "I have six touchdowns, a 70-percent completion rate and we are 2-0 for the first time in ten years. We're doing well and looking forward to a great season."

McNamara has been hearing from colleges and has had the opportunity to take and schedule a couple visits.

"I've heard from Ohio State, Michigan State and Pittsburgh, and This coming Saturday, I'm going to visit Cincinnati."

A few weeks back, he went down to Bloomington and saw a fall practice at Indiana.

"It was a great experience. I got to see how it went during practice, the facilities, what it was like during pre-practice and everything they went through. I got to see the plays and everything and met with some coaches too. It was an overall good experience."

During that visit, the Hoosier coaches also let McNamara they want to see more of him.

"They said they wanted some film from this season and they heard about the camps this off-season, all the camps I went to, and a lot of good news about me."
