Lake Central features Purdue commit Gelen Robinson, a havoc-wreaking senior defensive end and linebacker.

Friday: Mundelein (Ill.) Mt. Carmel at Marian (Ill.) Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m.
We are going to take a look at Carmel's sophomore offensive tackle Sean Foster, who, at 6-foot-7, 255-pounds, has the frame and athleticism to end up as one of the Midwest's best in his class. He already has interest coming from several BCS programs.

Thursday: Cleveland Glenville at Cleveland Heights at 7 p.m.
One of the top games in Ohio features two of the highest-rated players in-state, as Glenville seniors, safety Erick Smith and wide receiver/cornerback Marshon Lattimore are both four-star recruits. The pair holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, and others. Three-star senior Marcelys Jones has committed to Ohio State. Cleveland Heights is led by three-star wide receiver Dorian Baker, and the senior holds offers from Indiana and Kentucky, among others.

Friday: Cleveland Benedictine at Bedford at 7:30 p.m.
Benedictine features the number-two rated junior in Ohio in linebacker/tailback Jerome Baker, and he holds offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Michigan State. Benedictine also has several promising sophomores, including wide receiver Justin Layne. Bedford junior linebacker Marquise Copeland is attracting a lot of recruiting attention, and this will be the Scout recruiting team's first opportunity to see him live. Friday: Springboro (Ohio) vs. Kettering (Ohio) Fairmont at 7:00 p.m. Roush Stadium
Both teams enter this Greater Western Ohio Conference cross-divisional battle with 1-1 records. We’ll only be staying for most of the first half as we want to check out Fairmont senior two-way lineman Jean Nsanzimana and offensive lineman Jeff Duncan. For Springboro we’ll get our first chance to watch Jordan Rigg who camped all summer as a tight end but has moved to the offensive line after he broke his hand. Rigg, who stands 6-foot-5, 250-pounds, is a player we’ve felt could see a future move to the offensive line and this will be a good time to see how he’s adapted.

Friday: Hilliard (Ohio) Davidson vs. Beavercreek (Ohio) at 7:00 p.m. Beavercreek High School
We’ll jump over to Beavercreek for the second half of their battle with Hilliard Davidson. Beavercreek has a few players to checkout as senior quarterback Michael Berry has given his commitment to Toledo as a linebacker. Joining Berry is senior linebacker/running back Airius Moore who holds a handful of offers including Indiana and several Mid-American Conference programs. A surprise player for the Beavers is senior Jared Watters who at 6-foot-5, 190-pounds, already has four interceptions after two games.  Hilliard Davidson has a couple of prospects to checkout as well with junior linebacker Markus Bailey who holds reported offers from Boston College, Akron, Bowling Green and Toledo. He is joined by senior defensive back Phillipie Motley who has already issued his pledge to Pittsburgh.

Saturday: Cincinnati (Ohio) Indian Hill vs. Cincinnati (Ohio) Hills Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. CHCA Athletic Stadium
Last year we met new CHCA student Prince Michael Sammons who was helping out the football team as a team manager. Now, having received eligibility clearance from the OHSAA, the 6-foot-7, 260-pound sophomore and first time football player, is a player on the radar of several college programs having recently visited Michigan. Junior offensive lineman Jacob Halter is a player who caught our attention last season and it will be good to see the progress he’s made up to this point. For Indian Hill we’ll be looking to check out senior lineman Sam Smith who was injured last season when we caught the Braves in action.

Marion-Franklin has started off the year strong with two big wins while Bishop Hartley is looking to rebound off of an unexpected loss last week to Coldwater. Marion-Franklin will look to senior lineman Martesse Patterson to continue his strong play. Patterson currently holds 10 offers from the likes of Cincinnati, Kentucky and Purdue. Bishop Hartley is led by senior cornerback, Alonzo Saxton, who committed to Duke last school year. On the offensive side of the ball, tight end Kalil Morris, a recent Bowling Green commit, along with juniors Mateo Saxton and Jalen Austin are hoping to put the points on the board.

Friday: Perrysburg (Ohio) at Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m.
Toledo Central Catholic is once again very talented and have college prospects on both sides of the ball. Quarterback DeShone Kizer, a Notre Dame commit, looks to finish off his high school career with a strong senior campaign. 2015 offensive tackle Ramon Miles and 2014 center Zach Harmon are standouts on the line. Miles has an early offer from Akron but is hearing from other schools as well while Harmon is committed to Duke. Senior Derich Weiland is a talented receiver for Central Catholic and holds an offer from Kent State. Sophomore running back Tre'Von Wade has had an impressive start to his season and should gather attention on the recruiting trail as the season progresses.  On the defensive side of the ball, the Irish are lead by junior linebacker Chris Green and junior safety Charles Smith. Green holds offers from a few MAC schools and Kentucky and is also hearing from Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Arkansas, and Tennessee, among others. Smith has no offers to date but has received interest from Ohio State, Toledo, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.

Thursday: Zion-Benton (Ill.) at Stevenson (Ill.) at 7:30 p.m.
Stevenson has a very talent heavy roster, including Michigan State defensive back commit Matt Morrissey, Western Michigan offensive lineman commit Zach Novoselsky. Plus, Stevenson has plenty of young talent with quarterback Willie Bourbon and wide receiver Cameron Green (who just added his first offer from Toledo). The Patriots are looking to rebound against Zion-Benton from a slow start to the season, losing the first two contests.

Friday: Downers Grove North (Ill.) vs Glenbard West (Ill.) at 7:30p.m.
Downers Grove North is led by early four-star junior quarterback David Edwards, who has offers as an athlete and tight end from Illinois, Indiana and Vanderbilt. The Trojans also feature two senior linebackers, Richard Olekanma who is headed for Toledo and fellow senior Vontae Diggs who just re-opened his recruitment with interest from Iowa State. Unbeaten Urbandale visits Johnston as the No. 4-ranked team in Class 4A. The J-Hawks are led by senior wide receiver Allen Lazard, who caught four passes for 138 yards and three touchdowns last week. ranks the 6-foot-5, 205-pound Lazard as the No. 21 wideout nationally in the Class of 2014. Notre Dame is pushing hard to get him off of his Iowa State verbal. He visited South Bend in June after making his Cyclone pledge. Friday: Lombard (Ill.) Montini at Wheaton (Ill.) Academy.

Montini comes into this one with all the momentum. A huge win over East St. Louis, another in-state power, has the Broncos rolling coming into week 3. Ohio State commit Dylan Thompson has asserted himself so far on defense and causing problems for opponents. Linebacker Nile Sykes has also gotten some touches on the offensive side of the ball this year, and junior receiver Leon Thornton is starting to emerge as a pass-catching threat. For Wheaton Academy, they come in with one lopsided win and one lopsided loss, so the trajectory of their season is still up in the air, but Montini has a favorable matchup in this one.
