Jacob Harrison is one of the top quarterback prospects in Ohio for the class of 2016, and the Dayton Chaminade-Julienne sophomore is off to a great start this season.
Harrison, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, threw for nearly 600 yards in his first two games, and accounted for ten touchdowns in total. He landed his first offer Friday morning.
"I was offered by Akron," Harrison reported. "First off, I am excited and humbled that Coach (Terry) Bowden, Coach (A.J.) Milwee, and Coach (John) Pont had enough belief and confidence in me to make the offer. It motivates me to work even harder to become the best QB I can. I am very excited to learn more about the program and get to know them better. I am going to a game on October 26th."
"It should be fun spending time with the coaches and seeing the facilities," he added. "I like the style of offense Akron runs which is the spread, no huddle, offense like we do at Chaminade-Julienne. I want to go to a program that competes for championships, and think Coach Bowden is putting that together at Akron."
Harrison will also be visiting Illinois on October 19th, for their game with Wisconsin.
