It was a relatively quiet week in the Top 50, but with several key matchups, we had some movers.

Team (Record) City, ST

1 (1)
Booker T Washington Logo
Washington (3-0) Miami, FL

There's a danger in coming off of a huge game like Washington did last week against No. 3 Central, but the Tornadoes know no danger. Washington blew out Carol City and play a solid Jackson team this week.

Last: Def Carol City 45-0
Next: 9/19 @ Jackson (2-0)
2 (3)
Miami Central Logo
Miami Central (2-1) Miami, FL

Like Washington, Central had little trouble getting back in gear after their big showdown last week. The Rockets drilled Coral Reef 49-0. Central travels to New Jersey to take on a jetlagged Don Bosco team who finished their game Saturday night at roughly 2AM EST.

Last: Def Coral Reef 49-0
Next
: 9/21 @ Don Bosco (N.J.) (1-1)
3 (6)
Allen Logo
Allen (3-0) Allen, TX

After taking on heavyweights Carroll and Cedar Hill, Allen got a breather against Richardson. A trip to Hebron this week should provide a stiffer test.

Last: Def Richardson 52-7
Next: 9/20 @ Hebron (2-1)
4 (2)
Saint John Bosco Logo
St. John Bosco (3-0) Bellflower, CA

Bosco moved to 3-0, but it wasn't before a couple of scares. The Braves trailed Chandler (Ariz.) 28-10 just before halftime and lost 5-Star junior quarterback Josh Rosen to a shoulder injury. Backup Andrew Katnik ignited six touchdown drives to win 52-31.

Last: Def Chandler (Ariz.) 52-31
Next: 9/20 Loyola (1-2)

5 (4)
Paramus Catholic Helmet Logo
Paramus Catholic (2-0) Paramus, NJ

Paramus Catholic beat Delbarton in workman like fashion with a comfortable if not spectacular 30-18 victory. The Paladins will be tested again this week against a tough DePaul team before their showdown with St. Ignatius in two weeks.

Last: Def Delbarton 30-18
Next: 9/21 DePaul  (1-0)
6 (5)
Edna Karr Logo
Karr (3-0) New Orleans, LA

In a battle of two of the nation's best teams and most electrifying players, it was Speedy Noil and Karr who came out on top of Leonard Fournette and No. 32 St. Augustine. Fournette had 176 yards from scrimmage and completed two passes for 86 yards. Karr gets the week off before taking on Curtis on 9/26.

Last: Def No. 32 St. Augustine 34-24
Next: 9/26 John Curtis Christian (2-1)
7 (7)
DeSoto Logo
DeSoto (3-0) De Soto, TX

DeSoto put up a huge number on Euless Trinity in its 61-35 win. The Eagles have already played a tough schedule this year, and it doesn't get any easier as DeSoto travels to Cedar Hill this week.

Last: Def Trinity 61-35
Next: 9/20 @ Cedar Hill
8 (8)
St. Joseph Regional Logo
St. Joseph Regional (2-0) Montvale, NJ

After laying waste to DeMatha two weeks ago, St. Joseph Regional kept the pedal down against New Smyrna Beach (Fla.). The Green Knights are off this week in preparation for a trip to take on a dangerous Bergen Catholic team.

Last: Def New Smyrna Beach 49-13
Next: 9/28 @ Bergen Catholic (1-1)
9 (9)
De La Salle Logo
De La Salle (3-0) Concord, CA

Maybe De La Salle was just playing possum. After looking rather ordinary in their first two games, the Spartans blow out their toughest opponent of the season in St. Mary's. De La Salle should be able to do the same with Del Oro this week, but the Golden Eagles are an improving team who has had a week off to get ready.

Last: Def St. Mary's 40-13
Next: 9/20 Del Oro (1-1)
10 (11)
Manatee logo
Manatee (3-0) Bradenton, FL

Manatee has beaten two of the DC area's finest in Gilman and Friendship. Next up will be a team a little more familiar to home, Sarasota.

Last: Def Friendship (DC) 23-13
Next
: 9/20 @ Sarasota (2-1)
11 (12)
Hamilton Logo
Hamilton (3-0) Chandler, AZ

After opening its season with two strong opponents, Hamilton almost got caught looking past a good Pinnacle team as the Huskies pulled off a 24-20 win. Hamilton should be able to coast past Liberty of Nevada.

Last:  Def Pinnacle 24-20
Next: 9/20 @ Liberty (Nevada) (2-1)

12 (14)
Katy Logo
Katy (4-0) Katy, TX

We're looking for a team on Katy's schedule who can play with the Tigers, and well, we're still looking. Katy's toughest test to date sure isn't this week, but it may come 10/18 against Seven Lakes.

Last: Def The Woodlands 37-14
Next: 9/20 Mayde Creek (1-2)
13 (15)
Colerain Logo
Colerain (3-0) Cincinnati, OH

Colerain claimed a pelt two weeks ago knocking off St. Xavier, and the Cardinals took another beating national power Louisville Trinity. A trip to Lakota East will be a challenge for Colerain as well.

Last: Def Louisville Trinity 42-28
Next: 9/20 @ Lakota East (2-1)
14 (16)
University School Logo Ft. Lauderdale
University (4-0) Ft. Lauderdale

Cypress Bay should have been more of a challenge for University last week, but they weren't. University won convincingly and will get to work a lot of young players this week against Somerset Academy.

Last: Def Cypress Bay 37-7
Next: 9/20 Somerset Academy (1-2)
15 (17)
Hoover Logo
Hoover (3-0) Hoover, AL

Hoover crushed an outmatched Jackson-Olin team. Northridge might put up a better fight this week, but not much. Expect Hoover to roll.

Last: Def Jackson-Olin 56-0
Next
: 9/20 Northridge (0-3)
16 (23)
Northwestern Trojans Logo Helmet
Northwestern (4-0) Rock Hill, SC

It was supposed to be a showdown of South Carolina powers and in the end the game didn't disappoint as Northwestern outlasted No. 10 Byrnes in overtime. The Trojans have a week off to recover and get ready for Lancaster before its showdown with South Pointe on 10/4.

Last: Def No. 10 Byrnes 42-35 (OT)
Next: Bye
17 (37)
Aquinas Logo
Aquinas (2-0) Fort Lauderdale, FL

Aquinas had the week off to prepare for 2012 FOX Sports National Champ John Curtis Christian, and the Raiders put their time to good use with a smothering defensive effort. Aquinas came home from Louisiana with a 27-13 victory. It won't get a lot easier this week as Aquinas hosts Miramar.

Last: Def No. 19 Curtis 27-13
Next: 9/20 Miramar (3-0)
18 (10)
Byrnes Logo
Byrnes (3-0) Duncan, SC

It was an epic battle in South Carolina, but in the end, it was Northwestern who came out on top. Clinton could be in a lot of trouble this week getting Byrnes off of a loss.

Last: Lost to No. 23 Northwestern 42-35 (OT)
Next: 9/20 @ Clinton (0-3)
19 (18)
  Bellevue Logo
Bellevue (2-0) Bellevue, WA

From a national perspective, this is going to be a long, boring season for Bellevue. Bothell was the victim last week, and Sammamish is in for its pounding this week.

Last: Def Bothell 49-6
Next: 9/20 Sammamish (0-2)
20 (20)
Oscar Smith Logo
Oscar Smith (2-0) Chesapeake, VA

Last week we said Indian River was in big trouble, they were. Oscar Smith crushed the Braves. The Tigers host a much tougher Western Branch team this week.

Last: Def Indian River 61-0
Next: 9/20 Western Branch (2-0)
21 (27)
North Gwinnett Logo
North Gwinnett (3-0) Suwanee, GA

North Gwinnett heaped a little more misery on preseason Top 10 Norcross by dominating the Blue Devils in the second half. North Gwinnett's first three opponents have been Georgia powers. The next three, not so much.

Last: Def Norcross 36-17
Next: 9/20 Meadowcreek (0-2)

22 (13)
Lamar Football Logo Helmet Houston
Lamar (3-0) Houston, TX

West Brook came into the game undefeated and unintimidated by Lamar, and the Redskins got a fight but prevailed 23-10. Expect a Lamar blowout this week.

Last: Def West Brook
Next: 9/20 @ Alief Elsik (1-2)
23 (21)
Brother Rice Helmet Logo
Brother Rice (3-0) Bloomfield Hills, MI

Brother Rice hung the first loss of the season on Carman-Ainsworth, and will get a dangerous De La Salle Collegiate team this week.

Last: Def Carman Ainsworth 31-6
Next: 9/21 De La Salle Collegiate (1-1)
24 (22)
Mater Dei Logo
Mater Dei (3-0) Santa Ana, CA

Mater Dei methodically dismantled Carson 33-0 wearing down its opponent with a strong running game and suffocating defense. Mater Dei will coast this week against Santa Monica before taking on a good Edison team next week.

Last: Def Carson 33-0
Next: 9/20 @ Santa Monica (2-0)
25 (39)
Muskegon Logo
Muskegon (3-0) Muskegon, MI

Muskegon's game against Rockford was supposed to be fairly tight. It wasn't. The Big Reds won big. The trip to Lowell should be a tough game for Muskegon, but we said that last week.

Last: Def Rockford 45-0
Next: 9/20 @ Lowell (3-0)
26 (24)
St. Ignatius Logo
St. Ignatius (2-1) Cleveland, OH

St. Ignatius has been looking forward to working its way back up the Top 50 after being upset by Brother Rice in the first week of the season. The Wildcats will get another chance in two weeks when they take on Paramus Catholic, assuming they handle McDowell (Pa.) this week.

Last: Def Strong Vincent 35-8
Next
: 9/21 McDowell (Pa.) (2-1)
27 (25)
McEachern Helmet Logo
McEachern (3-0) Powder Springs, GA

After soundly defeating two 6A heavyweights and having a week off to enjoy, McEachern had an easier go of it against Pebblebrook. The Indians will get a tougher Marietta team this week.

Last: Def Pebblebrook 53-7
Next: 9/20 @ Marietta (2-1)
28 (26)
Serra Logo Helmet
Serra (3-0) Gardena, CA

The Cardiac Cavaliers pulled off another comeback. Serra trailed Notre Dame by seven with a minute left before Adoree Jackson took an post route 80 yards and then caught the game winner in overtime. Serra doesn't face another opponent for a month capable of beating them.

Last: Def Notre Dame 20-13 (OT)
Next: 9/20 Dorsey (1-1)
29 (29)
Punahou Football Helmet Logo
Punahou (4-0) Honolulu, HI

Kamehameha entered the night unbeaten, but Punahou beat them soundly. The Buff n Blue have one of the best defenses in the nation and have only surrendered six points the last three weeks. The question this week isn't if they'll beat St. Francis, but will St. Francis get on the scoreboard?

Last: Def  Kamehameha 24-0
Next: 9/21 St. Francis (1-3)
30 (30)
Mount Carmel Logo
Mount Carmel (3-0) Chicago, IL

Mount Carmel had been averaging a margin of victory of 41 points going into its game with Bishop McNamara. The Caravan won by 42. Mount Carmel takes on Brother Rice this week, unfortunately for us, it's Brother Rice of Chicago, not of Michigan. Expect another lopsided score.

Last: Def Bishop McNamara 42-0
Next: 9/20 Brother Rice (1-2)
31 (31)
Coppell Logo
Coppell (3-0) Coppell, TX

Rockwall isn't in the same league as Coppell figuratively speaking, and the Cowboys won big 68-20. The game this week against Garland should be over by halftime, if not sooner.

Last: Def Rockwall 68-20
Next: 9/19 @ Garland (0-3)

32 (32)
Saint Augustine Football Helmet Logo

Saint Augustine (1-1) New Orleans, LA

St. Augustine had No. 5 Karr on the ropes, but the Purple Knights couldn't finish the deal. Still there's no shame in playing to the wire with the nation's No. 5 team. St. Augustine should be able to rebound against Covington, but the road trip could be a bit of a trap as Curtis looms on 10/4.

Last: Lost to No. 5 Karr 34-24
Next: 9/20 @ Covington (2-1)
33 (33)
St. Xavier Logo
St. Xavier (2-1) Cincinnati, OH

St. Xavier was coming off of a tough loss to Colerain, but the Bombers took care of Brentwood Academy. St. Xavier plays a terrific schedule and this week brings Indiana power Indianapolis Cathedral.

Last: Def Brentwood Academy (Tenn.) 23-0
Next: 9/20 Indianapolis Cathedral (2-2)
34 (34)
Aledo Logo
Aledo (3-0) Aledo, TX

Prepa Tech out of Mexico was a tough team in 2012. That hasn't been the case so far in 2013. The Bearcats demolished the visitors from Mexico. Aledo is off this week before an easy trip to Arlington Heights.

Last: Def Prepa Tech 49-0
Next: 9/27 @ Arlington Heights (0-3)
35 (35)
Good Counsel Logo
Good Counsel (3-1) Olney, MD

A young Good Counsel team dropped its season opener, but the Falcons are coming together nicely including a defensive win at Calvert Hall. They should handle Gonzaga this week.

Last: Def Calvert Hall 14-3
Next
: 9/20 Gonzaga (2-2)
36 (36)
Ensworth Logo
Ensworth (3-0) Nashville, TN

Pope John Paul II has lost their last two games 104 to10 including a 56-3 loss to Ensworth. Father Ryan should at least show up this week to face Ensworth, but this will be another one sided affair.

Last: Def Pope John Paul II 56-3
Next: 9/20 Father Ryan (3-1)
37 (38)
Archbishop Moeller Logo
Archbishop Moeller (3-0) Cincinnati, OH

Archbishop Moeller hosted a team from Canada and weren't very hospitable to their guests from the North, sending St. Michael's College home after a 64-13 drubbing. Moeller has a pair of St. Xavier's up next. St. Xavier out of Louisville will be first; then the annual showdown with the Cincinnati version.

Last: Def St. Michael's (Canada) 64-13
Next: 9/20 St. Xavier (Ky.) (3-1)
38 (19)
John Curtis Christian Logo
John Curtis (2-1) River Ridge, LA

Curtis had the better team last year, but the better schedule this year, and the Patriots found themselves out matched by No. 37 Aquinas who had the week to get ready for them. With trips to East St. John, Karr, and St. Augustine on the docket, Curtis has their work cut out for them this year.

Last: Lost to No. 37 Aquinas 27-13
Next: 9/20 @ East Saint John (0-2)
39 (40)
Mentor Football Logo
Mentor (2-1) Mentor (OH)

Mentor was handled by No. 48 St. Ignatius two weeks ago, but they found the perfect tonic in the winless Euclid Panthers. Mentor's trip to Twinsburg this week should be equally satisfying.

Last: Def Euclid 36-0
Next: 9/20 Twinsburg (0-3)

40 (41)
Folsom Football Helmet Logo
Folsom (3-0) Folsom, CA

After winning a tough game at Granite Bay to enter the Top 50, Folsom found the friendly confines of home hospitable as the Bulldogs beat Roseville 56-23. Folsom will take to the road this week to beat San Ramon Valley.

Last: Def Roseville 56-23
Next: 9/20 @ San Ramon Valley (1-1)
41 (42)
Dematha Logo
DeMatha (3-1) Hyattsville, MD

DeMatha got hammered by No. 25 St. Joseph Academy two weeks ago, but a winless St. Frances Academy team helped the Stags get back on track. DeMatha kept them winless. DeMatha will have to bring its A game against St. John's, but the Stags should win.

Last: Def St. Frances 41-10
Next
: 9/21 @ St. John's (3-1)
42 (43)
Apopka Football Helmet Logo
Apopka (3-1) Apopka, FL

Apopka may have done their best not to run up the score, but sometimes the other team just isn't tackling. The Blue Darters hung 80 on Wekiva. Apopka may not score 80 again this week, but they're still going to blow out Boone.

Last: Def Wekiva 80-26
Next: 9/20 @ Boone (0-3)
43 (44)
Cedar Hill Logo
Cedar Hill (2-1) Cedar Hill, TX

Cedar Hill got its tune up in against Ozen in preparation for its showdown with No. 7 DeSoto. Cedar Hill's only loss came to No. 6 Allen, but the Longhorns get DeSoto at home after having traveled to Allen.

Last: Def Ozen 48-0
Next
: 9/20 No. 7 DeSoto (3-0)
44 (45)
Southlake Carroll Logo
Carroll (2-1) Southlake, TX

Carroll was another victim of Allen this year, but the Dragons' schedule eased up considerably after Week 1. Temple was no match last week for Carroll, and Bye stands a better chance than Keller Central in two weeks.

Last: Def Temple 38-7
Next
: Bye
45 (47)
Vista Murrieta Logo
Vista Murrieta (2-0) Murrieta, CA

Coltin Gerhart continues his good work as a senior transfer for Vista Murrieta leading the Broncos to an easy win over Yucaipa. Vista Murrieta's regular season schedule leaves a lot to be desired, but a 9/27 trip to Cathedral Catholic in San Diego could be dangerous.

Last: Def Yucaipa 52-13
Next: 9/20 @ Redlands East Valley (1-1)
46 (49)
Ocean Lakes Logo
Ocean Lakes (2-0) Virginia Beach, VA

Kellam was no match for Ocean Lakes, and this week's game against Green Run will give the Dolphins another chance to post some Gaudy numbers.

Last: Def Kellam 50-0
Next: 9/20 Green Run (2-1)
47 (48)
Sandy Creek Logo
Sandy Creek (2-0-1) Sandy Creek, GA

Sandy Creek had to settle for a tie in its first game of the season against Tampa Plant, but in the last two games the Patriots have scored 55 and 54 points. They'll be close to that number again in two weeks after taking this week off.

Last: Def East Coweta 54-35
Next: 9/27 Bye
48 (NR)
Jenks Football Helmet Logo
Jenks (2-0) Jenks, OK

Jenks has gotten off to a fast start this season having taken care of two of its toughest opponents of the season. The Trojans opened with a win over Euless Trinity (Texas) and then beat Union last week. Jenks is in for another battle this week against Owasso.

Last: Def Union 20-16
Next: 9/20 Owasso (1-1)
49 (NR)
Poly Logo
Poly (2-1) Long Beach, CA

It only took one week for the Jackrabbits to get back into the Top 50 beating Corona Centennial with a blend of speed and power that makes Poly so much fun to watch. Poly has a redemption game coming up at Bakersfield after getting drilled by the Drillers last year.

Last: Def No. 28 Centennial 35-28
Next: 9/20 @ Bakersfield (2-1)
