Live Eval & Film: RB Kaezon Pugh
Kaezon Pugh School: Aliquippa (Pa.) High Position: Running back (class of 2016) Recruiting situation: Has a West Virginia offer, and is hearing from Pittsburgh Opponent: Ambridge (Pa.) High Pugh What to Like Pugh, who is 6-foot, 180 pounds, is a natural running back with a very good feel for the position, and he gets through the hole quickly. He has good vision, and it shows on the second play where he heads between the guard and center, and sees the linebacker coming behind the fullback and quickly cuts back to the middle for a nice gain. He has good leg drive to get through arm tackles, and he can make himself smaller to squeeze through holes. He has the speed to get to the outside, and also has the size to be impactful between the tackles. What Needs Work Pugh is young, and there is a lot of room to grow, and that will happen as he gets more experience. A few things to look when it comes to improvement is running with a lower pad level and also keeping the ball on the outside. On the opening run of the cut-ups, he breaks to the outside by keeps the ball on the inside. Final Thought Pugh has the ability to be a high-level recruit in the 2016 class. He has the frame, the build and the feel to be a big-time running back, but he needs to continue to develop. He already holds a West Virginia offer, and Pittsburgh is showing plenty of interest.
