A strong start to the senior year of Pittsburg (Calif.) running back Harris Ross opened the eyes of Hawaii coaches.
On Wednesday evening, Hawaii defensive line coach Lewis Powell, who recruits Northern California, offered Ross and by the time the night was done, Ross added his name to the Warrior commit list.
"I committed to Hawaii," said Ross. "They offered me (Wednesday) but I've been hearing from them a long time."
The Warriors had long had interest in Ross but wanted to watch senior film.
And after a 400+ rushing night on Friday, they'd seen what they needed.
"They have been faithful to me since the recruiting process started," said Ross. "And I feel like I'll fit in there."
Ross said he was relieved and excited to make his commitment to the Warriors.
He plans to visit officially in the near future, but hasn't set his trip up just yet.
