Team (Record) City, ST

1 (1)
Booker T Washington Logo
Washington (5-0) Miami, FL

Monsignor Pace was undefeated headed into its game with Washington, but these teams are literally on different levels. The final wasn't close. Washington heads to the desert to take on perennial power Bishop Gorman who doesn't have its strongest team of the last decade, but is always a dangerous opponent.

Last: Def Monsignor Pace 49-7
Next: 10/4 @ Bishop Gorman (4-1)
2 (3)
Allen Logo
Allen (5-0) Allen, TX

With wins over Top 50 members Southlake Carroll, Cedar Hill, and most recently No. 30 Coppell, it's hard to ignore what Allen has been doing to its competition. Each of those games had an impressive three score cushion. Allen takes a well deserved week off this week.

Last: Def No. 30 Coppell 31-10
Next: Bye
3 (2)
Miami Central Logo
Miami Central (3-1) Miami, FL

Miami Central was idle last week, and they didn't fall a spot through anything of their own doing, they're still an incredibly impressive team whose only loss was a last minute fall to the nation's No. 1 team. Central should get a challenge from Homestead this week, but the Rockets should still win comfortably.

Last: Idle
: 10/5 Homestead (3-2)
4 (4)
DeSoto Logo
DeSoto (5-0) De Soto, TX

DeSoto has been just as impressive as Allen in dismantling their opponents including a common foe in Cedar Hill. The Eagles had no trouble with South Grand Prairie, and will take this week off to get ready for the second half of the season.

Last: Def South Grand Prairie 50-0
Next: Bye
5 (5)
Paramus Catholic Helmet Logo
Paramus Catholic (4-0) Paramus, NJ

Paramus Catholic and St. Ignatius was supposed to be a good game. It wasn't. The Paladins went to Cleveland and rocked the Wildcats 44-10. What may have been most impressive about Paramus Catholic's convincing victory was that they did it without All-Everything athlete Jabrill Peppers who was injured in the first quarter.

Last: Def No. 23 St. Ignatius 44-10
Next: Bye
6 (7)
De La Salle Logo
De La Salle (5-0) Concord, CA

De La Salle had little trouble with San Ramon Valley last week as they prepare for their trip to Southern California to take on a resurgent Servite team. Servite has been the surprise of the Southern-Section to date, but the Spartans will likely prove to be too much for the Friars.

Last: Def San Ramon Valley 47-21
Next: 10/5 @ Servite (3-1)
7 (8)
St. Joseph Regional Logo
St. Joseph Regional (3-0) Montvale, NJ

Bergen Catholic had played some tough teams closely including a three point loss to Bishop Gorman (NV) and a 24-13 loss to Curtis (LA), but St. Joseph Regional proved to be an a whole other level. The Green Knights pummeled Bergen Catholic. The trip to Wayne Hills should produce a similar score this week.

Last: Def Bergen Catholic 49-6
Next: 10/4 @ Wayne Hills (3-0)
8 (9)
Saint John Bosco Logo
St. John Bosco (4-0) Bellflower, CA

St. John Bosco was off last week. The Braves shouldn't have too much trouble with a good, but beatable Crenshaw squad who has dropped three games to tough opponents already this year.

Last: Idle
Next: 10/4 Crenshaw (1-3)

9 (10)
Manatee logo
Manatee (5-0) Bradenton, FL

Manatee has outscored its previous two opponents 128-7. Riverview will be a step up in competition, but in reality, everyone's eyes are already on the calendar for the 10/25 meeting with University.

Last: Def Southeast 62-0
: 10/4 Riverview (2-1)
10 (11)
Katy Logo
Katy (5-0) Katy, TX

Katy's regular season schedule leaves a lot to be desired, but we know the Tigers will be challenged in the playoffs.

Next: 10/4 @ Princeton (2-3)
12 (13)
University School Logo Ft. Lauderdale
University (6-0) Ft. Lauderdale

University pummeled a reeling Boyd Anderson team that is having one of its worst runs in years. North Broward Prep is going to be on the receiving end of another lopsided score this week.

Last: Def Boyd Anderson 50-0
Next: 10/4 @ North Broward Prep (0-4)
13 (14)
Hoover Logo
Hoover (5-0) Hoover, AL

Last: Def Vestavia Hills 17-7
: 10/4 Bessemer City (5-0)
14 (15)
Northwestern Trojans Logo Helmet
Northwestern (5-0) Rock Hill, SC

Northwestern got an extra week to celebrate after its big win over Byrnes, and they put the time to good use in a workman like effort against Lancaster. The trip to South Pointe this week should prove to be much more difficult.

Last: Def Lancaster 34-0
Next: 10/4 @ South Pointe (4-1)
15 (16)
Byrnes Logo
Byrnes (4-1) Duncan, SC

Byrnes put up a big number on a good Boiling Springs team. Up next is one of South Carolina's heavyweights, an undefeated Spartanburg team.

Last: Def Boiling Springs 63-34
Next: 10/4 Spartanburg (5-0)

North Gwinnett (4-0) Suwanee, GA

North Gwinnett had the week off after its impressive 4-0 start to the season. In essence, North Gwinnett is off again this week, as the Bulldogs will use Duluth as a glorified scrimmage to work on getting sharp for the stretch run.

Last: Idle
Next: 10/4 @ Duluth (1-4)

19 (20)
Lamar Football Logo Helmet Houston
Lamar (4-0) Houston, TX

Lamar had its previous game cancelled by a lightning storm, and the Redskins lowered the boom on Westbury.

Last: Def Westbury 55-0
Next: Bye
20 (21)
Brother Rice Helmet Logo
Brother Rice (5-0) Bloomfield Hills, MI

Brother Rice has been in some tough games already this season and that experience paid off when the Warriors knocked off undefeated Cathedral Catholic. Brother Rice will get another tough game this week when they travel to St. Mary Prep who has already knocked off Ohio power Toledo Whitmer.

Last: Def Cathedral Catholic 28-21
Next: 10/4 @ St. Mary Prep (3-2)
21 (22)
Mater Dei Logo
Mater Dei (5-0) Santa Ana, CA

Mater Dei relied on its impressive defense to hold Edison's offense scoreless and match a defensive score with a defensive score of their own. The Monarchs are off this week as they prepare for a grueling league schedule that includes St. John Bosco.

Last: Def Edison 21-7
Next: Bye
22 (24)
Hamilton Logo

Last:  Def Western 49-0
Next: 10/4 McArthur (1-3)

23 (35)
Mountain Pointe Logo Helmet Football
Mountain Pointe (6-0) Phoenix, AZ

In a game billed as a revenge game for Mountain Pointe, the Pride came out on top in a big way. A 37-27 victory over No. 25 Hamilton was a sweet win, but with a trip to Desert Vista on the horizon, Mountain Pointe can't afford to celebrate too long.

Last: Def No. 25 Hamilton 37-27
Next: 10/4 @ Desert Vista (3-2)
24 (31)

Next: 10/5 La Salle (3-2)
26 (38)
John Curtis Christian Logo
John Curtis (4-1) River Ridge, LA

In another Game of the Year candidate, Curtis jumped early on No. 6 Karr to the tune of 30-6 only to be on the wrong end of a 33-30 score in the fourth quarter. Showing tremendous resilience, Curtis scored with less than a minute left to pull out the win. St. Augustine was sitting at home watching Curtis and Karr beat each other up, and it will be another tough game for Curtis.

Next: 10/4 @ Campbell (2-3)
29 (28)
Punahou Football Helmet Logo
Punahou (6-0) Honolulu, HI

After giving up a whopping eight points two weeks ago, Punahou got its shutout streak going again; it's third in four games. Punahou won't be focused on the shutout this week, just the win against a good St. Louis team.

Last: Def  'Iolani 56-0
Next: 10/4 St. Louis (5-1)
30 (29)
Mount Carmel Logo
Mount Carmel (5-0) Chicago, IL

Mount Carmel played a less than complete game in defeating Brother Rice (Ill.) two weeks ago, and by the looks of it, the Caravan was focused on a tough St. Rita team. Mount Carmel dominated St. Rita 24-3 and faces another tough road trip at Loyola this week.

Last: Def St. Rita 24-3
Next: 10/5 @ Loyola Academy (5-0)
31 (30)
Coppell Logo
Coppell (3-1) Coppell, TX

Coppell gets the week off after taking on the juggernaut that No. 2 Allen has become this year. The Cowboys can't dwell too long on their disappointing loss, because their next opponent, Hebron, is fully capable of beating Coppell if they're not at their best.

Last: Lost to No. 3 Allen 31-10
Next: Bye
32 (34)
Aledo Logo
Aledo (4-0) Aledo, TX

St. Edward Logo
St. Edward (5-0) Lakewood, OH

St. Edward has been on an early roll including an impressive 48-7 win over Elder three weeks ago. The Eagles are about to get into the teeth of the schedule though with games coming up against Cardinal Mooney, St. Ignatius, and Moeller.

Last: Def Good Counsel 21-0
: 10/5 Bishop O'Connell (4-2)
39 (23)
St. Ignatius Logo
St. Ignatius (3-2) Cleveland, OH

With two losses to two Top 25 teams, St. Ignatius is still one of the Top 50 teams in the country, but I don't think anyone expected the beating from Paramus Catholic to be so thorough this week. St. Ignatius has a chance to remind us how good they actually are taking on a solid Lawrence Central team out of Indiana this week.

Last: Lost to No. 5 Paramus Catholic 44-10
: 10/5 Lawrence Central (Ind.) (3-3)
40 (42)
Apopka Football Helmet Logo
Apopka (5-1) Apopka, FL

Apopka has been making mincemeat of its competition the last several weeks, but West Orange represents a significant increase in competition. Apopka started the season in the Top 15, and this game can show us if they're still that caliber of a team.

Last: Def Freedom 49-0
Next: 10/4 West Orange (5-0)
41 (43)
Mission Viejo Logo
Mission Viejo (5-0) Mission Viejo, CA

Mission Viejo has already gone through the bulk of its tough schedule including a win over Don Bosco Prep from New Jersey. The Diablos will enter the Pac-5 playoffs at 10-0, but then it gets interesting with possible matchups with Mater Dei and St. John Bosco.

Last: Def Aliso Niguel 56-7
: 10/4 @ Redlands East Valley (1-3)
42 (49)
Salpointe Catholic Helmet Logo
Salpointe Catholic (5-0) Tucson, AZ

Last: Def Marcos de Niza 40-7
Next: 10/4 @ Mountain View (3-2)
