Patterson named an Army All-American

Javon Patterson out of Petal, Miss., was notified Friday that he will be playing in the Army All-American game in January of 2016.

"It is an honor, and God truly blessed me," Javon Patterson said. "It was really a big surprise for me when they told me. It is the biggest individual achievement I have accomplished."

The 6' 5", 285-pound offensive lineman is the second player out of Petal to be selected as an Army All-American. Ole Miss sophomore Anthony Alford also played in the game.

Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Southern Miss have offered.

Javon has no favorites up to this point.
